A Beautiful Conversation (From the movie "V for Vendetta" )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

V: [V enters Evey's field of vision as she walks into the Shadow Gallery, directly from the prison] Hello, Evey.
Evey Hammond: You. It was you.
V: [quietly] Yeah.
Evey Hammond: [gestures behind her] That wasn't real... Is Gordon - ?
V: I'm sorry, but Mr. Deitrich's dead. I thought they'd arrest him, but when they found a Koran in his house, they had him executed.
Evey Hammond: [whispers] Oh God...
V: Fortunately, I got to you before they did.
Evey Hammond: You got to me? You did this to me? You cut my hair? You tortured me? You tortured me! Why?
V: You said you wanted to live without fear. I wish there'd been an easier way, but there wasn't.
[Evey whispers, "Oh my God...?]
V: I know you may never forgive me... but nor will you understand how hard it was for me to do what I did. Every day I saw in myself everything you see in me now. Every day I wanted to end it, but each time you refused to give in, I knew I couldn't.
Evey Hammond: You're *sick*! You're *evil*!
V: *You* could've ended it, Evey, you could've given in. But you didn't. Why?
Evey Hammond: Leave me alone! I *hate* you!
V: That's it! See, at first I thought it was hate, too. Hate was all I knew, it built my world, it imprisoned me, taught me how to eat, how to drink, how to breathe. I thought I'd die with all my hate in my veins. But then something happened. It happened to me... just as it happened to you.
Evey Hammond: Shut up! I *don't* want to hear your lies!
V: Your own father said that artists use lies to tell the truth. Yes, I created a lie. But because you believed it, you found something true about yourself.
Evey Hammond: No.
V: What was true in that cell is just as true now. What you felt in there has nothing to do with me.
Evey Hammond: I can't feel *anything* anymore!
V: Don't run from it, Evey. You've been running all your life.
Evey Hammond: [gasps] I can't... can't breathe. Asthma... asthma! When I was little...
[V reaches out his hand, Evey grabs it, they fall to the ground together]
V: Listen to me, Evey. This may be the most important moment of your life. Commit to it.
[Evey continues sobbing]
V: They took your parents from you. They took your brother from you.
[Evey groans]
V: They put you in a cell and took everything they could take except your life. And you believed that was all there was, didn't you? The only thing you had left was your life, but it wasn't, was it?
[Evey sobs, "Oh please...?]
V: You found something else. In that cell you found something that mattered more to you than life. It was when they threatened to kill you unless you gave them what they wanted... you told them you'd rather die. You faced your death, Evey. You were calm. You were still.
[Evey continues gasping]
V: Try to feel now what you felt then.
Evey Hammond: [breathes heavily] Oh God... I felt...
V: Yes?
Evey Hammond: I'm dizzy. I need air. Please, I need to be outside.

In my head :)

Through the shining crystal ...
With shimmers of sunlight dancing upon ...
Through thousands of tiny rainbows ...
And pearls of glorious dew drops on the backyard roses ...
I used to see ...
A face as bright and young and cute as adorable as it belonged to thee ...
Rosy and perky in the morning ...
Peace dawning upon in the noon ...
Shiny and playful in the evening ...
Dreamy and Misty in the night ...
Sharing all my things with you ...
Knowingly -- unknowingly :)
As innocent as in that age as were we .....
Playful you were ...
My most precious possession..
Your thousand tiny mistakes never bothered me ...
A tender age ...
All that innocence ..
And that spontaneous smile....
All that was for me and only me... :)
But Alas! The harshness life bequeaths on "we" ..
The age of innocence gone ...
Smile faded away ...
And the unbounded love gave way ..
To the clashes of ego...
Wisdom cracked away..
In the quest of a false sense of pride and glory ...
What is left behind ......Is just "You" and just "Me" ..
I know it is hopeless ...
But I still search ...
between the lines..............
For that innocence that smile that joy that peace ...
For all that is .. and that's what matters the most ...
To me :)

Placebo Effect and the Nature Cure

It is common to see the diseases rarely occurring in the past and once attributed to the wrong way of living(especially the rich and obese) in every household now. Diabetes, Cancer etc. to name a few. Family history does contribute, but the disease lays dormant until provoked by falling prey to incorrect lifestyle and outlook.
Surprisingly, many drugs (painkillers, antidepressants etc.) designed and marketed by The medical giants are now touted as being "incompetent" attributed to the "placebo effect". Before releasing a drug in the market, it has to be FDA approved (I am writing in context of US). A selected group of people (test subjects) are administered both the actual drug and milk-sugar pills (placebo). And in most of the cases, the drugs are not able to beat the sugar-pills!!

So much to say for the billions of dollars which go into the research for the medicines and the convincing (theoretically) biological proofs!
These drugs sell like hot cakes in our country and most of the people are unaware of their futility!
The sad part is that we are not aware of the healing power of easily accessible products(mostly on the kitchen shelf) gifted to us free of cost by mother nature :)
A pollution free air, intoxicating fragrance of flowers, eternal sunshine, food in its purest form (unaltered by cooking) are everyone's right. A lot of research has been done on the healing powers of naturopathy and indigenous arts like Yoga,Meditation. They are effective (A family Experience) and can beat any X-Y-Z crappy disease of the world. What it really needs to cure oneself is faith and patience and of-course , optimism.
Human body is designed to repair itself for any damage. Producing Antibodies is a no-charge infallible defense mechanism. The rate at which they are produced depends on the lifestyle and eating habits and thus determines the effectiveness and speed of healing. Unfortunately, most of the research goes into chemicals which when consumed more than the prescribed limit can even cause death!
Even if 1% of money and effort goes into holistic ways of healing ; we can see dramatic effects :)
I feel happy for people like Swami Ramdev who are at least putting in effort and time.
The knowledge and wisdom lie with a few people who are not able to pass it on to the next generation due to many reasons we all know. The knowledge, of course is not which X-Y-Z herb cures what, but rather knowing the extreme science of body, breath and mind as well as the science behind how a herb works and why.
But it will definitely take a lot of time for us to change our thinking and believe in indigenous ways and show faith. That, would be the real science and would help the humanity....

Eye of d tiger...........

I always struggle to make dis d mantra of my life ...... :) :) (Fail at times but keep on trying :) )

" Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat
Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds 'til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive

Risin' up, straight to the top
Have the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive "

Love dis one...........

Mini Musings..........

Pity this needs to be stated :

"In humans, the right side of the brain is the center for visual and aesthetic sensibilities. The left side of the brain is the center for quantitative and time-regulated sensibilities. Human intuition is a blend of both sensibilities. This blend is facilitated by the neural connections between the right side of the brain and the left side. In women, the number of neural connections between right and left sides of the brain is 20% greater (on average) than in men. This higher connectivity of women’s brains enables them to exercise intuitive think- ing to a greater extent than men."

---- Handbook of statistical analysis and data mining applications.............

Its kind of obvious :)

Fall

Every night
I thought
Of giving my thoughts a shape
wandering in the dark
waiting for that first ray of hope
to show
the eternal bliss
to wash me in its warmth
I tried hard ... tried and tried
but gave in to sensual cravings
went to the depth of
the dark alibi
to point of no return
tried hard to escape
now i am falling
and falling
and when the pain becomes pleasure
you surrender to the gravity
and the fall...
is no longer the cause of your misery..
it becomes your savior ........
